Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Every class is structured, supervised by experienced coaches, and designed for your child's age and skill level. Jiu-jitsu is actually one of the safest martial arts for kids because it focuses on control and technique rather than striking.
Not at all. Our beginner classes are built specifically for kids with zero experience. We'll guide them through every step, and they'll leave their first class feeling confident and excited to come back.
We offer kids jiu-jitsu classes for ages 4 through 15, grouped by age and skill level so your child trains with peers at a similar stage.
Your child's first session is a private one-on-one lesson with the instructor. We introduce foundational concepts of Jiu-Jitsu in a fun way, teach the 4 laws of focus, the 7 magic words of respect, and discuss your goals for your child. It's focused, fun, and designed to help your child start strong.
Comfortable athletic clothes — a t-shirt and athletic shorts or sweatpants are perfect. No shoes on the mat. We'll provide everything else they need for the trial.
Shy kids often benefit the most from jiu-jitsu. Our coaches are patient, warm, and know exactly how to bring kids out of their shell at a pace that feels safe. Most shy kids are smiling and engaging with teammates by the end of their first class.
Yes. While students learn martial arts techniques, they also learn important life skills such as respect, self-control, responsibility, focus, and perseverance.
Jiu-Jitsu can help children develop confidence, awareness, and assertiveness. Students learn how to handle challenging situations appropriately while building the self-confidence that often discourages bullying.
